I had the most wonderful time hanging out with the this family on Sunday!! Anita had the whole gang dressed in awesome bright colors! And these kids made it so easy to take their photos! Lily was always ready with a pose:) Thanks for letting me capture the love and closeness you all have…what a precious family!

Here’s some of my favorites from taking photos of my friend Jacie’s family. I had so much fun with them! They were full of ideas and up for lots of fun!!

So I thought it was only right to really think about the things I am thankful for. And share them with you:) Dictionary.com defines “thanksgiving” as the act of giving thanks; grateful acknowledgment of benefits or favors, especially to God; an expression of thanks, especially to God; a public celebration in acknowledgment of divine favor or kindness; a day set apart for giving thanks to God. I just love that!!
This past year has been a year of ups and downs, facing extreme joy and intense sorrow. Facing moments that left me in deep desperation, but finding myself in moments that love and peace seemed to overflow. And through all those moments, I’ve learned what it means to be thankful. Here’s some of the things I’m thankful for…
A God who holds me. He doesn’t just love me from afar, but He holds me in my deep despair. He walks through life with me. He strengthens me and provides for me in ways I cannot explain. He is my joy. He is my peace. And I would be lost without Him.

My family that loves me, protects me, laughs with me, cries with me, fights for me.

My friends that pray with me, encourage me, act silly with me, live life with me.

Photography that lets me be used to bring joy to the lives of those I photograph. What an honor that God uses me while doing something I love. And thankful that He gives me more of those opportunities so I could take one of my fave girls to get coffee.

That I get to work with people who give their lives daily to work for the Kingdom. And that I get to wear jeans. And that we have a fridge full of free Dr. Pepper. And that I have a space heater at my desk-it gets cold, people!

My beautiful niece, Kaydence. She makes my heart beat. Her smile melts me and I can’t explain the love I have for this precious little girl with bright red hair. And I’m thankful for being able to teach her to pose for me and my camera:)

I had such a great time photographing Anna and Justin! With her looking like Cinderella and him being my first groom in uniform, I had a blast with these photos! I love getting to photograph and work with couples who are so sweet and easy going! And they both were full of ideas, which helps me capture the moments that would mean a lot to them.

Justin & Anna, your wedding was precious and it was a joy to be part of it!!

I had the best time getting to photograph the Harringtons this weekend! Kristi has become such a spiritual encouragement to me and getting to hang out with her, Jon, and their 3 kids was such a blessing. I fell in love with these kiddos!!! One of my favorite parts of our time together was when Braden comes up behind me, gives me an adorable hug and says “Thanks, Ms. Sara, for making our picture taking day so fun!” I could have cried I was so touched…this is why I do this…

and of course, little Peppermint Joy.

I had such a great time hanging out with Brion and Courtney on their wedding day! They, along with their families, were so sweet and fun to be around. They were up for all kinds of photos! They had their ceremony & reception at a beautiful lodge out in Luther.
You guys are so great!! Had a blast with you on your special day!!
